Tuna feed development
Skretting Australia are currently manufacturing a new southern bluefin tuna diet named Aurora Gel. The specifically formulated soft tuna diet is currently being fed to southern bluefin tuna held in sea cages at Port Lincoln. More on-farm trials with northern bluefin tuna will start in Japan, Croatia, Spain and Turkey in the coming months.

| | | In June, Skretting Norway made its first silo-silo feed deliveries, with no bags involved. Employing a purpose-built vessel, the Eidsvaag Polaris, feed is transferred from a bulk store silo at the Averøy feed plant to bulk storage on the boat and then directly into bulk storage silos at the customer. Conventionally, where customers have feed silos, fish feed is delivered in big bags that are emptied into the silo storage at the customer farm.
