In Australia Gaston will be employed as a Technical Account Manager with a specific focus on feed management and customer support.
A University trained marine biologist, Gaston has already undertaken technical visits to Australia in recent years, sharing with his Australian colleagues his practical experience of salmon farming and his knowledge of Skretting’s aquaculture feed management tools.
He expects to benefit from the diversity of Australian aquaculture, specifically with new potential species for Chile such as yellowtail, tuna and barramundi, already farmed in Australia. “I have a tremendous opportunity to learn about new species from my Australian colleagues. I’m grateful to both Skretting Australia and Chile for this opportunity, and I will do my best to be a positive contributor to the team”.
"I'm also looking forward to learning more about Australian culture. I have already taken a keen interest in the Australian Football League (AFL), and rapidly becoming a passionate supporter of the Hawks!"
